I have so many memories of Aunt Chickie - my whole childhood was spent w/her whole family on the farm. My earliest childhood memory was when her and I had to go out and pick lettuce while the other kids were at school... and she wanted me to talk nice to the lettuce and sing to it with her... well when she turned her back I kicked the lettuce and told the lettuce I hated it and I hated having to pick it.... she would always tell everyone that story and laugh.... Aunt Chickie always stood her ground and she never backed down... Everyone that knows her knows exactly what I mean...Till we meet again Aunt Chickie - I will keep my eye on Joey and Michele for you!!!!!

I always looked forward to Frances' visits to my place of employment. She always had a great smile, freindly way and I really enjoyed the spirit in her eyes when she wanted to give me a joshing. Something like she would 'Turn me into my boss' when we joked together.I for one will sadly miss her, and will include her in my daily prayers.May the angels guide her and God shine His light on her. She came in all kinds of weather, sometimes on day shift, sometimes on
swing. Most dealers know her by sight. She always had a smile on her face and a new story to tell. Today we feel the stories have ended.
Once I said to her that I had planted my first garden and I was having problems with my garlic, it kept growing a vine and dying so I had to keep replanting it. She asked if I was using the seed pod and I said no I was just taking the clove of garlic and planting it and it would grow and then die. Because of her I grow beautiful garlic.
She came to walk in the winter, once I said to her"why don't you walk in the schools instead of driving out here"? She said "no I don't like to walk alone and with the winter it isn't safe to walk on the road and anyway you all are so wonderful to me, if I walked anywhere else when would I see my friends. " She will be greatly missed by many people here at the Stone, especially me. I am proud to have known her,.

My favorite memories of Aunt Chick have mostly taken place at the farm. Every Thanksgiving for several years, I could not wait to go down the farm to be play cards with Aunt Chick, Uncle Jack and all of the cousins. Thanksgiving has never really been the same since this tradition went away. I admire Aunt Chick for being a hard worker, a loving mother and a person that was not afraid to say what was on her mind. As strict as she was, she taught her children respect and the value of hard work. I hope that my son will look up to me the way that Aunt Chick's sons looked up to her; with love and admiration.

My grandma was the best grandma a kid could ask for. She was my second mother. My mom jokes that she used to have to remind my nana that I was her daughter and not my grandmas. I lived with my grandma and grandpa for the first five years of my life and some of my fondest memories took place at the farm. My favorite is when my cousin and I would go and play by the patio door. My grandma didn't want us to get sick and we wouldnt lisiten to her when she told us to move so she said a monster, the mamush, live in the closet next to the door. Well let me tell you, that was the last time my cousin and I ever played there. My nana was a beloved wife, mother, grandma, sister, aunt, cousin, and friend and words can not describe how much she will be missed.
