I had the honor and great pleasure of spending time with Aunt Lucy in Florida and in Rome, NY.. Aunt Lucy put a smile on everyone’s face and gave us lots of laughs!
Most recently, I appreciated her love and hospitality to me and my family when I stayed with her for a week and settled Allie into Colgate. She always welcomed us anytime to stay with her!
My memories of taking her to the casino and seeing her face light up as she played her games were fun but my favorite memory was going to the bakery with Aunt Lucy. She found a way to get an enormous amount of bread rolls to fit in a bag for a discounted price-day old bread-then we went driving to her friend’s house to drop the bread-for her friend to make home made bread crumbs.
Even into her 90’s Aunt Lucy went out of her way to help others. She often wore a smile on her face and her warm heart was felt by all! I enjoyed my time I spent with Aunt Lucy and driving around Rome that day with her listening to her talk about her home town.
I miss you Aunt Lucy❤️ we will keep your legacy of helping others and opening our home to all!

Aunt Lou had a lively, kind spirit that brightened the day of everyone who walked through her door, a spirit that will live on in the hearts of those lucky enough to have been blessed by her presence. While I was not fortunate enough to spend much time with her, the time we were together was full of laughter and smiles. She loved to hear about the life of me and my family; she treated me as though we had known each other forever. Aunt Lou loved her baseball almost as much as her family, and it was beautiful to see her passion for it inspire a similar passion in my younger sister, who would call Aunt Lou frequently to discuss the baseball season. Aunt Lou made her house feel like home for everyone, and she helped make New York feel like home to me when I was adjusting to college life just a short distance away. I never felt alone at school because I knew she was there for me if anything were to happen. One of my favorite memories with her was bringing my best friend from college over for dinner while my mom was visiting. Despite never having met my friend, Aunt Lou made her feel like one of the family, and we all had a wonderful time. New York will forever feel like home because of Aunt Lou, and my family will continue to make her delicious fried dough recipe on holidays. Her kindness, warmth, light, and endless love will always be with us. We miss and love you so much, Aunt Lou!

Aunt Lou,
I am told by my mother that you were the rock of the family. You were adored and loved by all of those who were fortunate enough to know you. Visiting me and my family in Florida will be a memory I cherish always and forever. I will always miss the $2 bills at Christmas, your cooking, and baking. I will forever love you. I Miss you terribly Aunt Lou. Please tell Noni I think of her often and miss her too.
Love,
Tony

Aunt Lou was the best, to say the least. My first time meeting her was at 11pm on a night that her Yankees were playing. Of course she was wide awake praising on her favorite players and I remember thinking how much love she must hold for all of us, with just the sight of her loving on that team. Aunt Lou, we love you and miss your sweet voice.

The world was a brighter place with Aunt Lucy in it. We aren’t related by blood but she made us feel as if we were. She remembered our two kids at the holidays with her yearly $2 bill which was so very thoughtful.
My husband will always remember the long hots she made every Christmas! She made sure to let him know she had them ready. They were soooo good but he paid for them the next day!
We will miss you and will remember you always❤️

Aunt Lucy was always so loving and so much fun. Being from the Midwest, I loved her New York accent. Once when she was visiting our house in Indiana she opened my kitchen towel drawer and said "uhoh, a neatnick". I never open my towel drawer without thinking of Aunt Lou.

Lucy was such a wonderful lady. We became great friends when I lived in the apartment above her. Lucy and I would make each other dinner and she always made sure I was taken care of. She had a strong bond with my little dog max whom she enjoyed caring for while I went to work. They kept each other company. Lucy and I spent a lot of time together during covid and that is when I learned so much about her love for music. We got up early every day to have coffee in the front porch and listen to music. She grew to look forward to this. I miss her everyday since I moved away and have kept in touch by phone calls and sharing pictures through email. I tried to make it back one more time so Lucy and max could see each other, but max left in May. He will be so glad to see her when she arrives at heavens door. I will see you both when I get there, until then, take care of each other.
