Obituary of Vincenzo Dainotto

Vincenzo Dainotto, 86, of Rome, NY, passed away on Thursday, February 17, 2022, with his loving family by his side. He was born in Cattolica Eraclea, Provence of Agrigento, Sicily, Italy, on March 27, 1935, son of the late Carmelo and Maria Bedia Dainotto. On October 29, 1955 he married Antonina Mandracchia in Sicily. Vincenzo retired from Rome Strip Steel. He was a member of St. John the Baptist Church.
Vincenzo loved going smelt fishing in Pulaski with his sons. After fishing mom would cook dinner. He also enjoyed cigars, wine and beer and always looked forward to spending time at his son's lake house. Vincenzo cherished his family dinners with his children and grand-children. The family's fur babies, Milo and Daisy, brought great joy to Vincenzo and he would be sure they were always well fed.
Surviving besides his wife, Antonina, are two sons and daughters-in-law: Carmelo and Diane Dainotto, Verona Beach, NY, Pasquale and Jennifer Dainotto, New Hartford, NY, four grandchildren: Julianna and her husband, Kevin Munz, Antoinette and her husband, Ryan Vencek, Sofia Dainotto and Olivia Dainotto, and a soon to be great-grandson. Also surviving are three sisters: Catarina Brutto, Italy, Francesca Maltese, Rome, NY, and Josephine and brother-in-law, Santo Emmanuele, Rome, NY, and a sister-in-law, Francesca Dainotto, Rome, NY, and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, Carmelo and Maria Dainotto and in-laws, Pasquale and Maria Mandracchia, and a brother, Giuseppe Dainotto.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 12:00 p.m., on Tuesday, February 22, 2022, at St. John the Baptist Church with the Rev. Paul F. Angelicchio officiating where relatives and friends are invited to attend. There are no calling hours. Spring Burial will be in St. John the Baptist Cemetery.
