Obituary of Duane J. Cosimeno

Duane J. Cosimeno, 60, of Rome, passed away Friday, June 18, 2021, at home surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Rome, NY, on October 30, 1960, son of the late Joseph and Dorothy DeForest Cosimeno. Duane attended Rome Schools. He was employed as truck driver for Cataldo Bros. and Sons for over twenty-two years. Duane was a Union Steward for Teamsters Local #182. He was a former member of Osceola Beagle Club. Duane loved spending time with his grandchildren. He was an avid fisherman, birdwatcher and NY Yankees fan. Surviving are his family, Holly (Randall), children; Joseph Cosimeno, Heather (John) Gulick, and Allison (Michael) Krebs, all of Rome, beloved grandchildren; Brooklyn, Joseph, Caroline and Emmett. Also surviving is a sister, Olga (John) Miller, Grieg, NY, and several nieces, nephews and cousin. He was predeceased by his parents, Joseph and Dorothy Cosimeno, and brothers, Nicholas, Joseph and Michael. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, June 23, 2021 at 7:00 p.m., at the Nicholas J. Bush Funeral Home, Inc., 7751 Merrick Rd., Rome. Friends may call at the funeral home on Wednesday from 4-7 p.m. Burial will be on Thursday, June 24, 2021, at 11:00 a.m., in Rome Cemetery.
