Obituary of Ralph A. Rossi, Sr.

Ralph A. Rossi, Sr., 81, of Rome, passed away Friday, December 11, 2020 at St. Joseph's Hospital Health Center, Syracuse. He was born in Rome, NY, on June 3, 1939, son of the late Ralph and Mary Carro Rossi. Ralph attended Rome Schools. On November 7, 1959 he was united in marriage to Priscilla A. Facciolo, in St. John the Baptist Church. She passed away June 21, 2008. Ralph was owner of Sewer Rooter/ Ralph's Plumbing Service, Inc. He was as member of St. John the Baptist Church.
The center of Ralph's universe was family, especially his wife, children and grandchildren. He dedicated his life to bring joy and happiness to all of them. Ralph loved his community and surroundings. He enjoyed the simple things in life; the waters of Lake Delta, going for car drives on beautiful summer days and all of the family get-togethers. Ralph also enjoyed hearing the sounds of the slot machines and even more so when he won. Most of all, he cherished spending time with the love of his life, Priscilla, who he was dreaming to be reunited with.
Surviving are a son and daughter-in-law, Ralph (Anthony) and Ramune (Mona) Rossi, FL, a daughter and son-in-law, Shelly and Ray Vanderjagt, Rome, four grandchildren; Natasha and Kristina Rossi and Trisha and Nicole Vanderjagt. Also surviving are a sister, Betty Goodrich, Rome and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his wife, Priscilla, a sister and brothers-in-law; Ann and Art Smaldon and Charles Goodrich.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday at 1:00 p.m., at St. John the Baptist Church with the Rev. Paul F. Angelicchio officiating. Anyone wishing to attend is required to wear a mask and adhere to social distancing guidelines. Private burial will be in St. John the Baptist Cemetery. There are no calling hours.
