Vita Davis, 76, of N. Syracuse, NY, formerly of Rome, passed away on Sunday, May 31, 2020, at St. Joseph's Health Hospital, Syracuse. She was born in Rome, NY, on May 26, 1944, daughter of the late Donato and Susan Luire D'Amore. Vita attended Rome schools. On June 12, 1965 she married Lawrence Davis in St. John the Baptist Church. Vita was a member of St. John the Baptist Church and former member of Rome Moose Club. She enjoyed going to Turning Stone Casino and watching old movies. Surviving besides her husband Lawrence (Larry), are three daughters: Suzanne (Richard) Lickfield, N. Syracuse, Rosanna (Mark) Wieder, Germansville, PA, Christine Sawyer, Boonville, a son, Larry (Mary) Davis, Lee Center, Honorary son, Donato Mercuri, ten grandchildren: Richie Lickfield, Logan Lickfield, Amanda Trotto, Sabrina Davis, Eric Davis, Charlotte Davis, Colton Wieder, Cody Wieder, Brendan Sawyer and Collin Sawyer, three great-grandchildren: Ella Trotto, Halcie Trotto and Frankie Glinski, a sister, Viola Ripa and several nieces and nephews. Vita was predeceased by her parents, a sister, Rosanna Arndt and a nephew, Vito Arndt. Due to the pandemic, services will be private. Burial will be in St. John the Baptist Cemetery. There are no calling hours.
