Donald N. Joanis was a man who I will always remember as an old school gentleman. A man like Donald; his standards, level of integrity, and dedication to family, is sadly missed daily and forever. I will always use his example as how to be positive in crisis; how to find humor in sad times, how to be loving when we have differences, how to be strong when I feel like falling, and how to always prioritize civic duties and family.
I am very grateful and I know I am blessed, to have had Donald in my life, and in my children's lives in a personal way. Our times with him keep me from crying because I know how he would want rather to see smiles and hear the laughter of happier times. We will all bring him with us as we carry on, and his impact will last as long as the memories and example stays vivid.
