Frances S. Coluccio
Frances S. Coluccio, 80, of Rome, went home to be with the Lord, on Friday, September 25, 2009 at Rome Nursing Home. She was born in Rome, N.Y. on May 8, 1929, daughter of the late Karl and Theresa Stamm Schraml. Frances graduated from St. Mary's School and Academy of the Holy Names. On May 12, 1956 she married Joseph T. Coluccio in St. Mary's Church. Mrs. Coluccio retired in 1984 from New York Telephone. She was a lifelong member of St. Mary's Church. One of her greatest joys was spending time with her children and grandchildren.
Surviving besides her husband, Joseph, are three daughters and two sons-in-law, Marie and Richard Gamez, Honolulu, Hi.; Loretta and Bryan Whooten, Floyd, and Nancy Schilling, Rome; a son, James Coluccio, Rome. Grandchildren Amy and her husband Jason Costello; Sandra and her husband Robert Russell Jr.; Brian Schilling Jr.; Laura Schilling and Lisa Schilling. Great Grandchildren; Brooke, Cody, Joseph, and Olivia Costello; Aaron and Dylan Russell. Also surviving are two sisters and brothers-in-law; Barbara and Ronald Ruane; Theresa and Anthony Mazzacua, all of Rome. A brother Karl Schraml, Va. A sister-in-law, Rosemary Coluccio, Rome; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents and two brothers Bernard Schraml and Paul Schraml.
The family wishes to thank the staff at Rome Nursing Home for the care and compassion shown to Frances.
Funeral services will be held on Monday at 10:00 a.m. from the Nicholas J. Bush Funeral Home Inc., 218 W. Court St. and at St. Mary's Church at 10:30 a.m. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Sunday from 3-7 p.m.
