Helen V. Martini, 89, of Rome, passed away on Wednesday, June 19, 2019 at Rome Memorial Hospital. She was born in Rome, NY, on May 21, 1930, daughter of the late Paul and Mary DeLutis Lucci. On August 24, 1949 she married Silvio Martini in St. John the Baptist Church. He passed away July 11, 2000. Helen was a member of St. John the Baptist Church. Surviving are three daughters and two sons-in-law; Gale Hameline, Rome, Jean and Peter Gazitano, Rome, Carol and John Stanton, Palm Bay, FL, two sons; James Martini, Palm Bay, FL, John Martini, Rome, five grandchildren; Lynn and her husband Richard Ravens, John Hameline, Nicole and her husband Lee Fleming, Carol Gazitano and Lisa Gazitano, great grandchildren; Robert, Rosalia, Roman, Luca and Liam. Also surviving is a sister, Pauline L. Bush, Peabody, MA and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Silvio, a son-in-law, William J. Hameline III, and a sister, Gilda J. Lucci. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, June 22, 2019 at 11:00 a.m., at St. John the Baptist Church with the Rev. Paul F. Angelicchio officiating. Burial will be in St. Peter's Cemetery. The family will receive friends at church from 10:00 a.m., to 11:00 a.m., prior to the Funeral Mass. There are no calling hours.
