Obituary of Teresa Beddia

Teresa Beddia, 93, of Rome, passed away Sunday, August 19, 2018, at Rome Memorial Hospital with her loving family by her side. She was born in Cattolica Eraclea, Provence of Agrigento, Italy, on October 1, 1924, daughter of the late, Santo and Giuseppa Salvo. On September 26, 1948 she married Amedeo Beddia in Sicily, Italy. He passed away, February 10, 2018. She was a member of St. John the Baptist Church. Teresa was a former employee of Joseph and Feiss Co., Utica, as a finished seamstress. Surviving are two sons and a daughter-in-law; Joseph Anthony and Deborah Ann Beddia, Santo Beddia, three daughters and two sons-in-law; Francesca and Giuseppe Libertella, Josie Beddia, Maria and Wayne Carrick, all of Rome; twelve grandchildren, twenty two great grandchildren; and one great- great grandson, a sister, Carmela, Italy, several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by a sister Angela. The family would like to express a special thank you to Rome Memorial Hospital ICU for their care and compassion shown to Teresa and her family. Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, August 23, 2018, at 10:15 a.m., from the Nicholas J. Bush Funeral Home, Inc., 7751 Merrick Rd., and at St. John the Baptist Church at 11:00 a.m., where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by the Rev. Paul F. Angelicchio.
