Obituary of Ann "Jackie" J. Register

Ann "Jackie" J. Register, 82, of Rome, passed away on Monday, March 26, 2018, at home. She was born in Flushing, NY, on November 15, 1935, daughter of the late John Paul and Catherine A. Leopold Zollner. Jackie graduated from Flushing High School in 1953. On November 24, 1956 she married Barth John Register in Our Lady of the Cenacle Church in Richmond Hill, N Y. Jackie enjoyed working with Brownie, Cub Scouts and Girl Scouts. She was a long time member of the Newcomers Club of Rome. Jackie was an avid Bridge player, theatre goer and gardener.

Surviving is her husband, Barth, of sixty one years, a daughter, Jean Lovett and her husband, Dusty Shields, of Rome, two sons; Stephen Register, Camden, and Thomas Register and his wife, Tammy, TX, five grandchildren; Derek Register, Kevin and Kelsey Lovett, Kailey and Bryce Register, and a great grandson, Conrad Bulter. Also surviving, is a sister-in-law, Sandra Register, Lenore Zollner and Victoria Zollner. Jackie also enjoyed a special bond with the Nanthesene and Novoung families from Laos. She was predeceased by a sister, Catherine, and two brothers; John and Joseph Zollner.

Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, March 31, 2018, 9:00 a.m., at St. Paul's Church, 1807 Bedford St. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery. Friends may call at the Nicholas J. Bush Funeral Home, Inc., 7751 Merrick Rd., on Friday, March 30, 2018, from 4-7 p.m.
