Obituary of Mya J. Corigliano

Please share a memory of Mya to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Mya J. Corigliano, 19 months old, went to be with the angels, on Tuesday, December 19, 2017, surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Rome, NY, on May 8, 2016, daughter of Steven and Brandi Griffiths Corigliano. Mya had a passion for life and was always smiling. She will be remembered for her mischievous smile, beautiful blue eyes and messy hair. Her strength and fearlessness make her a true superhero, who courageously battled cancer most of her life. She touched the hearts of many, from her sisters to strangers. She leaves behind a large footprint for such a little girl. Mya will forever watch over her parents, Brandi and Steve Corigliano, four sisters; Madison, Emma, Taylor and Lydia, grandparents; Ronald and Carol (Westcott) Griffiths and Michelle (Ciccotti) Corigliano. Her Uncle R.J. and Aunt Sara Griffiths, Uncle Nicholas Corigliano, her cousins Connor and Carli Griffiths, along with a large loving extended family. She was welcomed into heaven by her grandfather, James Corigliano. The family would like to express a special thank you to the Doctors and Nursing Staff at Upstate Cancer Center and Golisano Hospital floor 11G, along with the entire community of Rome, for their generosity and support for Mya and their family. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, December22, 2017 at 11:00 a.m., at St. John the Baptist Church with the Rev. Paul F. Angelicchio officiating. Friends may call at the Nicholas J. Bush Funeral Home, Inc., 7751 Merrick Rd., on Thursday, December 21, 2017, from 4-8 p.m. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the family, to start a foundation in honor of Mya, with checks sent to: Steven Corigliano, 736 W.
