Nikki Lynn DeBlasiis Nikki Lynn DeBlasiis, 45, of Rome, passed away on Tuesday, April 18, 2017 resting in the comfort of her own home with her loving family by her side. She was born on September 29, 1971 in Rome, the second child of Louis J. Amo and Penny L. Amo. Nikki graduated from Rome Free Academy in 1989. She continued her education at SUNY Canton, followed by SUNY Plattsburgh where she obtained a Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology. On November 17, 1995, Nikki married her high school sweetheart, Gino DeBlasiis, and together they enjoyed family, friends, and a wonderful life. Nikki was passionate about her career and truly enjoyed working with children and adults. She found great happiness in encouraging others to become the best version of themselves. If you were loved by Nikki, you knew it; she made sure that you felt it. Her life revolved around attending her children's sporting and academic events, planting flowers in her garden, bike riding and walking with Gino, and lounging by the pool. She loved to cook delicious dinners for her family and friends; her kitchen was her happy place. Nikki's family was her entire world and she will continue to watch over them from above. Nikki is survived by her beloved husband Gino, two wonderful sons, Drew and Gino, and her beautiful daughter, Jenna; her devoted parents, Louis and Penny; three sisters: Lori Amo, Melissa Purrington, and Paula Amo; two brothers and sisters-in-law: Anthony and Brooke Amo, Louis and Cara Amo; nieces: Carla Banks, Rachel Quinton, Jillian DeBlasiis, Nora Amo, Avery Amo, Lucy Amo, and Gracelyn Amo; nephews: Amadeo DeBlasiis Jr., Rocco DeBlasiis, Andrew DeBlasiis, Santino DeBlasiis, Mikah Amo, Trey Amo and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
