I just want to make sure you know how much I love your family and I will always be here for Manda! It ttok me a long time to light this candle, not sure what to say. Rest in peace Shane and on a happy note, I will always remember you dressing up as a dummy for Halloween and sitting outside your house scaring the daylights out of everyone that you jumped out of the lawnchair at!! ... It's hard to believe you're gone. You were a wise-cracking, smart ass but could also be counted on when times were tough. We had a lot of good times down in Clearwater... you made the long, exhaustive, trip a fun vacation. I'll never forget the night we convinced everyone at the bar that you were from England and I was from Australia... "Are you picking up what I'm putting down?" ... anyway buddy "Bob's your uncle!" ... Save a bar stool for me up there ... I'll miss ya.

Shane ... Give Grandpa a big hug, and help him out with whatever he's building -- now neither of you are in pain any more. I remember so many things when you were little -- how you LOVED mashed potatoes and how much fun we had up to camp in the paddle boat and swimming -- remember the time the snake chased us in the water and cucumber sandwiches on a hot summer day. You know you were more like a brother than a nephew to me. You will always hold a special place inside of my heart ... I'll keep it warm with your memory until we meet again. Love you always ... Aunt Patty

Brian seen him a few years back when his truck broke down and Shane was working for Ellingers and had to give Brian a tow. Memories are picturesque treasures of yesteryear: I fondly recall the picnics at Willow Island. The panic of Fish Creek... "Be careful of that water!" And there was the food! You had an appetite that matched your aunt's! Holiday gatherings were an awesome treat. This is where the adults relished the eager excitement of the young. And there was the food...We all appreciated Gramma's Lasagna, for no one could duplicate her creation. Then the years of childhood left and you became an adult, eager to scout the world. I will miss your jokes and those moments of surprise; I could never keep up with you! I never knew what you were going to say next! I loved that element of surprise. Thank you for the birthday gift...the car...I will treasure it always. I miss you.
