Obituary of William J. Schuster

William J. Schuster III William J. Schuster III, 53, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, June 27, 2009 at St. Vincent's Hospital, Manhattan. Bill was born in Rome, N.Y. on September 1, 1955, the son of the late William and Sue Messineo Schuster. He had resided in Navesink, New Jersey for the past fifteen years. Bill was a systems specialist for Cosco, Inc., an international shipping company in Secaucus, New Jersey, for twelve years. He received a degree in theater from SUNY Oswego where he also briefly taught acting and directing. Bill directed several Off-Broadway plays, including Alice Walker's "Horses Make a Landscape More Beautiful," Robert Patrick's "Kennedy's Children," and close friends Jane Lindberg's "Zutswang." Billis survived by his partner of fifteen years, Richard Jajko, of Navesink, New Jersey; his sister and brother-in-law, Gail and Tony Mariano, of Northfield, Vermont; brothers, Mark Schuster, of New Brunswick, New Jersey, Robert Schuster, of Rome; and a nephew, Thomas Mariano, of Lancaster, Pennsylvania. Bill is also survived by his loving aunts, uncles, cousins and many loving family and friends in New Jersey and Manhattan. He was predeceased by a brother, Kevin Schuster. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. John the Baptist Church on Saturday, July 11, 2009, at 9:00 a.m. where relatives and friends are invited to attend. Burial will be in St. John's Cemetery. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to a charity of one's choice. Arrangements are by the Nicholas J. Bush Funeral Home, Inc., 218 W. Court St.
