Ronald F. Lamandia
Ronald F. Lamandia, 76, of Rome went home to the Lord on Friday, May 6, 2016, at home with his loving family by his side. Ron was born in Rome, NY on May 6, 1940, son of the late Nazie and Vita Lumbrazo Lamandia. Ron was a graduate of Rome Free Academy, Class of 1958. On October 4, 1969 he married Patricia Kelly in St. Peter's Church, Rome, a blessed union of over forty-six years. Ron proudly served his country in the United States Army from 1963-1965.
He retired in 1999, after 43 years of dedication, as a service technician from Cingranelli's Appliances. Ron was a member of St. Joseph's Church, Lee Center. He was a lifetime member of Rome Elks Club, The American Legion, Lee Center Rod and Gun Club and the Lake Delta Yacht Club. His proudest moments were watching his children, grandchildren and their friends swim in his backyard and play sports. They truly were his greatest joy in life.
Surviving besides his loving wife Pat, are a son, Ronald F. Lamandia, Jr., and Tracey Baker, Rome, a daughter and son-in-law, Margaret L. and Samuel Spina, Rome, Paulie Bravo, who was like a son. He will be missed by his cherished grandchildren; Isabella, Tanner and Tessa. Also surviving Ron, are sister-in-law and brother-in-law; Kathleen and Christopher Olney, Westernville, aunts; Josephine and Anna, nieces and nephews; Joseph and Devin Petricca, Kelly and Andrew Palinski, Michael and Mary Bartell and longtime friends of fifty years; Pat and Joe LaMonica, Diane and Ted Puchyr and Chris and Wayne Waterman. He was predeceased by a sister, Ann Petricca.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m., on Tuesday, May 10, 2016, at St. Joseph's Church, Lee Center. Burial will be in St. John the Baptist Cemetery. Friends may call at the Nicholas J. Bush Funeral Home, Inc., 7751 Merrick Rd., on Monday, May 9, 2016, from 4-7 p.m.
