Obituary of Anna Migliori

Anna Migliori Anna Migliori, 93, of Henry Street, Rome, passed away Friday, June 19, 2009 at Rome Memorial Hospital. She was born in Rome, NY on August 13, 1915, daughter of the late Rocco and Maria Verro Migliori. Anna was educated in Rome schools and graduated from Rome Free Academy. She was a member of St. John the Baptist Church. Anna was a compassionate and religious lady. She lived with and cared for her parents during their lifetime and continued to live in the family home. Her calm and natural kindness endeared her to many. She cared deeply about her sister and brothers and celebrated the arrival of each new member to the family. Anna enjoyed her flowers outside and inside the house. For her birthday, a great-nephew named a new variety of African violet "Anna" just for her. A beautiful plant with white and purple petals. She was a talented seamstress working at the Williams Brothers knitting mill in the early years and also at home and finally retiring from the Lu-Alice Bridal Shop. There she proudly created many flower girl dresses and handled alterations of formal gowns with ease. We all loved her and she loved each and every one of us. Surviving are a sister, Patricia DeProspero, and two brothers, Vincent Migliori and Larry Migliori, all of Rome. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews, great-neices and great-nephews and extended family. She was predeceased by two brothers and sisters-in-law, Anthony and Helen Migliori and Rocco and Jenny Migliori, a brother-in-law, Baldino DeProspero, and two sisters-in-law, Helen Migliori and Rose Migliori. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday at 10:15 a.m. from the Nicholas J. Bush Funeral Home Inc., 218 W. Court St. and at St. John the Baptist Church at 11:00 a.m. Burial will be in St. John's Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Monday from 4-7 p.m.
