Bucky is truly the last of the legendary East Romans. I spent the first quarter of my life(70's-80's) at Bucky & Georgettes store. They both looked out for me and took care of me. I always remember having conversations in the back room with both of them. They knew my parents well. That generation is sorely missed now. I saw Buck(I called him that) a few months ago as he was slowing down and the memory fading but whenever I would walk in he would call me by name. I remember when I worked for a local TV station and my name would be in the credits he would tell everyone that came in the store. He had a big part in steering me in the right direction. This is where the saying it takes a village to raise a child comes into play. He was part of that village. This is how it used to be coming up. It is gonna be hard not seeing his face when I go into the store but there are a lot of memories that we still can hold on to until we all meet again...
God bless the family and I send my heartfelt condolences.
Love
Greg Turner (aka T-bone jr.)
