Obituary of Rocco P. Conestabile

Rocco P. Conestabile Rocco P. Conestabile, 86, of Rome, passed away on Tuesday November 17, 2015 at Rome Memorial Hospital Residential Health Care Facility. He was born in Staletti, Province of Catanzaro, Italy, on June 29, 1929 son of the late Antonio and Maria Gannone Conestabile. Rocco served with the U.S. Army from 1950 to 1952. On July 25, 1953 he married Jean Corasiniti in St. John the Baptist Church. He was owner of Rocco's Tailor Shop for over 58 years retiring in 2010. Rocco was a member of St. John the Baptist Church and also served as an Usher. He was a member of the Toccolana Club, St. Gregory Club, HP Smith Post #24 American Legion and former member of St. John's Men's Holy Name Society. Surviving besides his loving wife Jean are two sons and daughters-in-law; Anthony and Elizabeth Conestabile, Rome, Frank and Shari Conestabile, Lee Center, three cherished grandchildren; Frank Conestabile II, Laura Conestabile and Jordan Conestabile, three great grandchildren; Marilyn, Scarlett and Josh. Also surviving are a brother and sister-in-law, Dominick and Fina Conestabile, Rome, a sister Antoinette Viscomi, MD and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a brother and sister-in-law; John and Romana Conestabile, a sister and brothers-in-law; Bettina and Anthony Aiello and Ralph Viscomi. The family would like to express a special thank you to the Staff of the Third Floor of Rome Memorial Hospital Residential Healthcare Facility for their care and compassion. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, November 23, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at St. John the Baptist Church where friends are invited to attend.
