Obituary of Christopher " Big Kahuna" M. Macknair

Christopher "Big Kahuna" M. Macknair Christopher "Big Kahuna" M. Macknair, 62, of Rome passed away on Monday, November 9, 2015 at Rome Memorial Hospital. He was born in Rome, NY on December 29, 1952 son of the late Emanuel "Coleman" and Marion Ciotti Comito. Chris was a graduate of Rome Free Academy Class of 1970. On August 22, 1981, he married Sharon Wnuk in St. John's Lutheran Church. Chris retired from Central New York Psychiatric Center, Marcy, NY. He was a member of St. John the Baptist Church. Chris was former owner of The Winery and was an avid Syracuse football and basketball fan. Surviving besides his wife Sharon, are a son, Shaun C. Macknair and his girlfriend, Laura Amodio, two daughters; Autumn L. Macknair and her boyfriend Andrew Monica, Michelle A. Macknair all of Rome. Also surviving are a sister, Sheila Comito, Rome, several aunts, uncles, cousins and two very good friends, Mike and Sue Ptak. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, November 12, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at St. John the Baptist Church with the Rev. Paul F. Angelicchio officiating, where relatives and friends are invited to attend. Burial will be in St. John the Baptist Cemetery. Friends may call at the Nicholas J. Bush Funeral Home, Inc., 218 W.
