Rose Stagliano Rose Stagliano, 96, of Rome, passed away Friday, May 29, 2009, at Rome Memorial Hospital. She was born in New York City on September 2, 1912, daughter of the late Dominick and Elizabeth Aroni DeAgazio. Rose married Dominick Stagliano Sr. in St. Anthony's Church, Herkimer, NY. He passed away in 1937. Mrs. Stagliano was a member of St. John the Baptist Church. Surviving are two sons, Nicholas Stagliano and Dominick Stagliano Jr., a sister Nora Cortese and a brother-in-law Anthony Stagliano, all of Rome. Being the loving woman she was, she had a significant impact on the upbringing of her nieces Mary Jean Leyman, Waterville, NY, Elizabeth DeAgazio, Charlotte, NC, and nephews James Cortese Jr., Rome, and Jack DeAgazio Jr., Syracuse. She also leaves behind several other nieces and nephews. Rose was predeceased by her husband Dominick, a brother Jack DeAgazio Sr., several sisters, and a brother-in-law James Cortese Sr. The family would like to express a special thank you to Rome Memorial Hospital 2nd Floor and the Home Health Care Nurses who assisted in her daily living. Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday at 10:15 a.m. from the Nicholas J. Bush Funeral Home, Inc., 218 W. Court St., and at St. John the Baptist Church at 11:00 a.m. Burial will be in St. Peter's Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Monday from 4-7 p.m. Memorial Contributions may be made to a charity of one's choice.
