Obituary of Rose M. Bartolotti

Rose M. Bartolotti Rose M. Bartolotti, 89, of Rome, was called home to Jesus on Monday, May 18, 2009, at Bethany Gardens. She was born in Rome, NY, on June 19, 1919, daughter of the late Frank and Martha Mercoldi Petrie. Rose was educated in Rome schools. On July 27, 1940, she married John L. Bartolotti in St. John the Baptist Church. He passed away August 30, 1985. Rose retired as a cafeteria aide in the Rome School System. She was a member of St. John the Baptist Church. Surviving are a daughter, Martha A. Collins, Margate, FL; a son and daughter-in-law, Anthony J. and Janice Soron Bartolotti, Forestport, NY; six grandchildren, Susan and her husband, Christopher Domanski, Mocksville, NC, Sharon Brinkman and her husband, Thomas O'Connor, Chicago, IL, Shelly and her husband, Cody Webster, Cadyville, NY, Christine and her husband, Daniel Voce, Great Falls, VA, John L. and his wife, LeAnn Bartolotti, Willow Springs, NC, and Michael C. Bartolotti, Syracuse, NY; and 12 great-grandchildren. Also surviving are two sisters, Ann Biancucci, Rome, and Dolores Orians, Rochester, NY, and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by two sisters, Isabelle Marino and Nan Pereto. The family would like to express a special thank you to all the care givers at Bethany Gardens for their care and compassion shown to Rose, especially her niece, Marybeth Pereto Schuler. Funeral services will be held on Friday at 8:15 a.m. from the Nicholas J. Bush Funeral Home, Inc., 218 W. Court St., and at St. John the Baptist Church at 9:00 a.m. Burial will be in St. Peter's Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday from 4-7 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association, 120 Lomond Court, Utica, NY 13502.
