Obituary of Anthony J. Paris (Parisi)

Anthony J. Paris (Parisi) Anthony J. Paris (Parisi), 77, of Rome, passed away Sunday, January 25, 2015 at Bethany Gardens surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Rome, NY, on December 10, 1937 a son of the late Charles and Mary Cremeno Paris (Parisi). Tony served in the U.S. Navy from 1955 to 1957. He married the love of his life Valerie Lewis, on October 5, 1996. Tony referred to her as "my beautiful bride". He was a former employee of Consolidated Freightways and retired from BNK Trucking. Tony always enjoyed his morning trips to O.J.'s for coffee with the guys. Surviving besides his wife, Valerie, are four daughters and sons-in-law, Maria and Dale Riley, Patricia and James David Parker, Jr., Kelly and Carlos Dipini, all of Rome, Kristen Rooney Jones, Deansboro; grandchildren; Aaron, Paige and Makaya Riley, Katrina and Hunter Narolis, Angelina and Adrianna Dipini, Kayla Jones and Tyler Rudd. Also surviving are a brother and sisters-in-law; Jim and Annamarie Parisi, Rome, Rose Parisi, Rome, Mary Halasz, Selma, TX, and several nieces and nephews including a special nephew, Jimmy Parisi. He was predeceased by his sister, Mary Calandra Root and a brother, Joseph Parisi. The family would like to express a thank you to the staff at Bethany Gardens and a special thank you to Tracy Johnson. Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, January 28, 2015 at 12:00 noon at the Nicholas J. Bush Funeral Home, Inc., 218 W. Court St. Spring Burial will be in Point Rock Cemetery.
