Obituary of Jennie M. Surace

Jennie M. Surace Jennie M. Surace, 87, of Rome, passed away on Sunday, December 21, 2014 at Faxton-St. Luke's Healthcare, New Hartford. She was born in Rome, NY, on February 26, 1927 the daughter of the late Frank P. and Mary Vaccaro Brognano. In 1948 she married John R. Surace, in St. John the Baptist Church. He passed away June 13, 2003. Jennie was former President and a bookeeper at Frank P. Brognano Limousine Service. She was a member of St. John the Baptist Church. Surviving are a grandson, Alex Griffin, Glenmont, NY, a sister, Patricia A. Grillone, Rome, a brother and sister-in-law, Dr. James P. and Ann Brognano, Rome, a son-in-law, Richard Griffin, Glenmont, NY and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, John R. Surace, a son, John P. Surace, a daughter, Katherine Griffin, a brother, Dr. Frank L. Brognano, a sister, Catherine Brognano and a brother-in-law, Joseph Grillone. Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, December 23, 2014, at 10:15 a.m. from the Nicholas J. Bush Funeral Home, Inc., 218 W. Court St., and at St. John the Baptist Church at 11:00 a.m., where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated with the Rev. Paul F. Angelicchio officiating. Burial will be at St. John the Baptist Cemetery.
