I have just learned of Lou's passing. My deepest condolences to you all.
Lou and I go back to when we were kids growing up in East Rome. We went thru school together graduating from RFA. We went into the Army together, basic training at Camp Pickett, VA. and on to Japan serving in the same unit (34th Infantry Regiment). He with Heavy Mortar Company and me with Company D. We went to Korea in July 1950; he was seriously wounded not long after we arrived and was evacuated. I have not seen him in a long time but I have very fond memories of our growing up together. Again, my deepest sympathy and prayers.
