Obituary of Justina Cesari

Justina "Tina" Cesari Justina "Tina" Cesari, 93, of Rome, passed away on Tuesday, July 15, 2014 at home. She was born in Rome, NY, March 17, 1921, daughter of the late Angelo and Beatrice Lamandola Coccia. In 1938, she graduated from the Academy of the Holy Name. She was a bookkeeper for Coccia Brothers Oil Company until she married. On May 4, 1946, Justina married Natalino "Nat" Cesari in St. John the Baptist Church. He passed away, October 16, 2005. Tina was a member of St. John the Baptist Church. Surviving are four children; Mary Jo Thomas (Dan), Duluth, MN, John P. Cesari, Rome, Joanie Cesari, Wappingers Falls, NY, and Elena Cintron, Rome, eight grandchildren; Kristin Johnston (Chuck) of Mahomet, IL, Katheryn Laurer (Eric) of Duluth, MN, James Jurista, Cazenovia, Sarah Cintron (Aaron), Justina Cesari, Rachael Anken (Craig), Joanne Jandreau (Edward), Elizabeth Cesari, all of Rome; seven great grandchildren; Adam Gillette, Joshua Anken, Luke and Sean Jandreau, Lydia Jurista, Nora Lee and Evelyn Lark Lauer. Also surviving are three sisters; Angela DiMeo, Utica, Marie Rotolo and Helen Esposito, both of Rome and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, "Nat", two sons-in-law, Dwight Thomas and Juan Cintron, and a sister, Josephine Coccia. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, July 17, 2014, at 11:00 a.m. at St. John the Baptist Church with the Rev. Paul F. Angelicchio officiating, where relatives and friends are invited to attend. Private burial will be in St. John the Baptist Cemetery. There are no calling hours. The family will receive friends at St. John the Baptist Church on Thursday from 10:15 a.m. to 10:45 a.m., prior to her Funeral Mass.
