Obituary of Catherine M. Consilio

Catherine M. Consilio of Rome, passed away Monday, November 26, 2007 at Rome Memorial Hospital. She was born in Utica, NY, daughter of the late Henry and Josephine Falvo Baptiste. On November 21, 1940, she married Maurice E. Consilio in St. Mary's Church, a blessed union of 67 years. Mrs. Consilio retired from the Rome City School District and was a former employee of Kanoff's 5 & 10 Store. She was a member of St. Peters Church.
Surviving besides her husband, Maurice, are a daughter, Marie Palmer, Rome; two sons and a daughter-in-law, Daniel and Mary Consilio, Rochester, N.Y., Mickey Consilio, Rome: five grandchildren, Robert Mezza, Rome, Michelle (Scott) Lefebre, Rochester, N.Y., Lisa (Jay) Bierker, Bardonia, N.Y., Joseph Palmer, Whitesboro, and Daniel Consilio Jr., Rochester, N.Y.; six great grandchildren; a sister, Minnie Ciccarelli, Utica; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by four brothers, Francis, Fred, William and Joseph Baptiste.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday at 11:00 a.m. at St. Peters Church where relatives and friends are invited to attend. Burial will be in St. Peters Cemetery. Friends may call at the Nicholas J. Bush Funeral Home, Inc., 218 W. Court St., on Wednesday from 4-7 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Peters Church Memorial Fund.
