I was employed at Spargo Wire Co from 1973 to 1990 and had the pleasure of working with Joe on numerous occasions. Joe was great employee, co-worker and friend. He could draw cartoons quite quickly when one of us did something dumb (all in fun). It was no secret that his family came first! I'll always have fond memories of Joe from those years at Spargo, Joe was a real man. Our prayers are with the Mercurio family.

I'll always remember the late night pinochle games at our house after Christmas Eve dinner. Uncle Joe was always the life of the party. His laugh and his humor will always be remembered with a smile. There's one heck of a game going on right now in Heaven and I don't doubt that he's got the winning hand. God bless you, Uncle Joe and please give Mom and Dad a kiss for me. Love, Toni Lynn

I was fortunate to have my Uncle Joe close to me the last few years. We had such fun on our "road trips" to Utica and back to meet with his lawyer, set up his will and trust, etc. Of course we always HAD to stop for a good breakfast at Denny's and laugh over our never ending stories about his growing up, times with my mom and dad, and how the light of his life (my Aunt Dorothy) always made us laugh.
The funny thing is that he hasn't left me. He's in my heart, in my home (still playing pranks), and on my computer screen saver for me to talk to every day.
God Speed Uncle Joe. Have fun with mom and dad and Aunt Dorothy and keep laughing!
Love You,
Rosemary
