Dolores B. Sparacine Dolores B. Sparacine, 76, of Rome, passed away Friday, February 20, 2009, at home. She was born in Utica, NY, on February 12, 1933, daughter of the late Toffey and Madeline Harb Salamey. Dolores graduated from Proctor High School in 1950. On April 30, 1955, she married Salvatore "Sam" V. Sparacine in St. Louis Gonzaga Church, Utica. He passed away December 3, 1996. Mrs. Sparacine was a member of St. John the Baptist Church. Surviving are a daughter and son-in-law, Samia Marie and Dominick DeAngelo, III, and a son, Vincent Sparacine, all of Rome; two loving grandchildren, Dominick ,IV, and Salvatore DeAngelo; two sisters, Mary Felice, Rome, and Amelia Zogby, Utica; and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by a brother, Naif Salamey. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. at St. John the Baptist Church, where relatives and friends are invited to attend. The family will receive friends at the church following the Funeral Mass. There are no calling hours. Burial will be in St. John's Cemetery. Arrangements are by the Nicholas J. Bush Funeral Home, Inc., 218 W. Court St. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. John the Baptist Church, 210 E. Dominick St., Rome, NY 13440 or St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Pl., Memphis, Tn 38105, in Dolores' memory.
