Stella Martoccia Mrs. Stella Martoccia , 83, a resident of St. Joseph Nursing Home, Utica, passed away Saturday, January 6, 2007 at St. Elizabeth Medical Center. She was born in Rome, NY on May 16, 1923, daughter of the late Antonio and Theresa Badolato Aversa. On May 11, 1946, she married Anthony R. Martoccia in St. John The Baptist Church. He passed away August 27, 1987. Surviving are three sons and two daughters-in-law, Dominick and Mary Lou Martoccia, Liverpool, NY, Anthony Jr. and Lola Martoccia, Vienna, VA, and John Martoccia, Utica; eight grandchildren, Dean Martoccia, Torrance, CA, Frank Martoccia, San Francisco, CA, Anthony Martoccia, Liverpool, NY, Marlo Cooper, Manassas, VA, Natalie Martoccia, Vienna, VA, Marco Martoccia, Christina Martoccio, Michael Martoccia, all of Utica; five great-grandchildren, Ella, Luke, Gianna, Christiana and Calvin. Also surviving are a sister, Theresa Billotti; and a brother-in-law, John Facciolo, both of Rome; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by sisters and brothers-in-law, Louise and James Cosentino, Josephine and Lindy Gattari, Antoinette and Dominick Lanzi, Mary and Eustacchio Barone, and Frances Facciolo. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday at 9:00 a.m. at St. John the Baptist Church, 210 E. Dominick St., where relatives and friends are invited to attend. Burial will be in St. Johns Cemetery. There are no calling hours. Arrangements are by the Nicholas J. Bush Funeral Home, Inc., 218 W. Court Street.
