Obituary of Carmella Carro

Carmella Carro Carmella Carro, 85, of Rome, passed away Tuesday, October 17, 2006 at Loretto Utica Center. She was born in Rome, N.Y. on May 15, 1921, daughter of the late Augustine and Anna Ventri Rossi. On July 25, 1936, she married Joesph Carro Sr. in St. John the Baptist Church. He passed away December 31, 1988. Mrs. Carro retired from Rome State School and was a former employee of White Eagle Bakery and New Systems Laundry. She was a member of St. John the Baptist Church. Surviving are a son and daughter-in-law, Joseph Jr. and Louise Carro, Woodgate, N.Y.; a daughter, Theresa Corradino, Rome; four grandchildren, Lisa Coonan, California, Richard J. Corradino, Rome, Cory-Jo Carro, Pennsylvania, and Joseph Carro III, Pennsylvania; five great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by four brothers, Frank Rossi, Ralph Rossi, Louis Rossi and Augie Rossi, two sisters, Martha Rotolo and Mary Service, a son-in-law, Richard Corradino, and a great grandson, Christian Corradino. Funeral services will be held on Thursday at 10:30 a.m. at St. John the Baptist Church where relatives and friends are invited to attend. Burial in St. Johns Cemetery. There are no calling hours. Arrangements are by the Nicholas J. Bush Funeral Home, Inc., 218 W. Court St.
