Obituary of Menthia Garcia Rizzuto

Menthia Garcia Rizzuto Menthia Garcia Rizzuto, age 93, passed away March 18, 2013, in Anaheim, CA, after a short illness. She was born on March 3, 1920, in Rome, NY, the daughter of Faustino and Maria Garcia. In 1942 she married Michael Rizzuto, Sr., who predeceased her in 2001. In 1960, after having lived in Rome for 40 years, she moved to Anaheim, CA, with her husband and son and worked as a teacher's aide for the Anaheim Public School System for more than twenty years. Always known as a kind and gentle woman, Menthia also leaves behind dearest friends, Carla and Richard Grifasi and family, of Laguna Niguel, CA; Ligia Dominguez, her daughter Ligia and grandson Ryan of Anaheim; and Lola Buttacavoli and family of Anaheim area. Surviving also are godson Jack Paz of Rome; sisters-in-law, Lucille Argenzia of Rome and Alice Michaels of North Bay, NY; as well as brother-in-law Pat Michaels. She also leaves behind many nieces and nephews. Her son, Michael Jr., predeceased Menthia in 2012 as did her father (1946), her mother (1982), her brother Albert (1940) and her sister Adelaide Maracchion (2003). Graveside services will be held at Rome Cemetery in Rome, NY, at 1:30 p.m. on Friday, April 26th, 2013. Arrangements are by the Nicholas J. Bush Funeral Home, Rome, NY.
