Obituary of Patricia 'Pat' Marocchi

Patricia 'Pat' Marocchi Westmoreland- On Thursday, March 14, 2013, Pat left this world to be reunited with her beloved husband, Lou. She died peacefully at home. Pat was born in Ft. Smith, Arkansas on November 19, 1941, a daughter of Troy and Gladys French. At an early age she moved with her family to Woodland, California. It was there she met a young sailor who would be the love of her life. They were married on, July 12, 1958 and soon moved to Westmoreland, N.Y. to raise a family. Pat was proud to be a homemaker. She dearly loved her children and grandchildren. She was a devoted and supportive wife throughout her fifty -three years of marriage. She enjoyed time with family, her dogs, crocheting, crafts, reading, gardening and especially shopping. Surviving are two daughters and sons-in-law, Tina and Carter Jackson, and Connie and Joseph Schick, all of Deansboro, two sons and daughter-in-law, Louis A. Jr. and Michelle Marocchi and James Marocchi and his companion Billie Jo Schuck all of Westmoreland; nine grandchildren, Carrie Jackson, Derek Jackson and his wife Meghan, Lauren Jackson, Justin Dawes and his wife Ashley, Angela Dawes, Jacob Childress and his wife Michelle, Amy Marocchi, Ben Marocchi and Nicole Becker; and nine great grandchildren. Also surviving are her sister, Dina French, Napa, CA, brothers, Tom (Betty) French, Woodland, CA, Darrell (Linda) French, Madill, OK.; sisters-in-law Rose (Leo) Capoccia, Gilda (Bill) Law and Susan Carello, and many nieces and nephews. Also, her special friends, Faith, Iris, Anna and Yvonne. She was predeceased by her husband, Louis A. Marocchi, her parents, her sister Deborah French, and her in-laws, Louie and Lucy Marocchi. The family would like to express a special thank you to her caregivers and her Hospice Team. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday at 10:15 a.m. from the Nicholas J. Bush Funeral Home, Inc., 218 W. Court St., Rome and at St. John the Baptist Church at 11:00 a.m. where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by the Rev. Paul F. Angelicchio. Burial will be in St. John the Baptist Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Monday from 4-7 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of one's choice.
