Obituary of Dominick P. Tardbania

Dominick "Mickey" P. Tardbania, 67, of Rome, passed away Tuesday, January 20, 2009 at home after a long illness. He was born in Rome, N.Y. on November 8,1941, son of the late Philip and Nellie Sabia Tardbania. Mickey was a graduate of Rome Free Academy. Upon graduation, he entered into the U.S. Air Force. He was employed at Revere Copper and Brass until his retirement. He was a member of St. John the Baptist Church, the Ukrainian Club and the Steczko Post. Mickey was devoted to his family especially his brother Philip. Mickey is survived by two sisters and a brother-in-law, Tillie Guglielmo, Catherine and Glen Sexton, and a brother, Philip Tardbania Jr., all of Rome; nieces and nephews, Sharon (Frank) Sperduto, Rome, Kimberly (Sean) Delaney, Atlanta, Ga., Richard Guglielmo, Rome, Philip Tardbania III, San Antonio, Texas; aunts and an uncle, Delores and Steve Fontaine, Utica, Angie Natalie, Ohio, and Margaret Diely, Rome; and several cousins. He was predeceased by a brother-in-law, Richard Guglielmo Sr. Funeral services will be held on Saturday at 9:45 a.m. from the Nicholas J. Bush Funeral Home, Inc., 218 W. Court St., and at St. John the Baptist Church at 10:30 a.m. Burial will be in St. John's Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Friday from 4 to 7 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made in Mickey's memory to the American Heart Association or the American Lung Association or a charity of one's choice.
