Nicholas Viscosi Jr.
Nicholas Viscosi Jr., 75, of Rome, passed away Friday, November 30, 2012, at St. Elizabeth's Medical Center, Utica, after a brief illness. He was born in Rome, NY on December 18, 1936 son of the late Nicholas and Lena Butler Viscosi. Nick served with the U.S. Army from 1954-1962. On April 16, 1957 he married Maria Peucker in West Germany. She passed away on November 13, 1985. Mr. Viscosi retired from the Rome Fire Department and was also owner of Copper City Driving School.
Surviving are two sons and daughters-in-law, Tom and Nancy Viscosi, Ken and Michelle Viscosi, all of Rome; and daughter and son-in-law, Diana and Steve Kingsley, Verona; seven grandchildren; five great- grandchildren; and a sister, Frances Vaughn, Rome.
Memorial services will be held on Friday, December 7, 2012, at 2:00 p.m. at the Nicholas J. Bush Funeral Home, Inc., 218 W. Court St., where relatives and friends are invited to attend. There are no calling hours.
