Obituary of Mary Tardabone

Mary Tardabone Mary Tardabone, 94, of Rome passed away Sunday, May 20, 2012, at Rome Memorial Hospital. She was born in Rome, NY on September 13, 1917, daughter of the late Larry and Rose Varano Tardabone. Mary attended Rome schools. She retired from Rome Hospital after 34 years of employment. Mary was a member of St. John the Baptist Church. She was known for her sense of humor and her love for her cats. Surviving are a sister Rose Tardabone with whom she lived; and many cousins, especially Roger and Betty Sabia and family, all of Rome; along with many dear friends. She was predeceased by her parents and a brother, Joseph C. Tardabone. The family would like to express a special thank you to the doctors and nurses at Rome Memorial Hospital, 2 North for their loving care. Also a special thank you to Visiting Nurses who cared for Mary at home. Funeral service will be held on Wednesday at 1:00 p.m. at the Nicholas J. Bush Funeral Home, Inc., 218 W. Court Street, with the Rev Paul F. Angelicchio officiating. Burial will be St. John the Baptist Cemetery.
