Obituary of Theresa 'Terry' Gamela

Theresa 'Terry' Gamela Theresa "Terry" Gamela, 91, of Rome, passed away Monday, April 02, 2012, at Bethany Gardens. She was born in Provience of Cantanzaro, Italy, on December 17, 1920; daughter of the late Nicholas and Sylvia Capcosale Cortese. Terry was a graduate of Rome Free Academy. On April 10, 1949 she married William J. Gamela, in St. John the Baptist Church. He passed away, January 12, 1997. Terry was a retired beautician. She was a member of St. John the Baptist Church. Surviving are a beloved son and daughter-in-law, William and Rita Gamela, Westernville and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by two brothers, Roy Cortese and August Cortese and a sister Angeline Pomilio. A funeral mass will be held on Tuesday, April 10, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at St. John the Baptist Church. There are no calling hours. Burial will be in St. John's Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of one's choice. Arrangements are by the Nicholas J. Bush Funeral Home, Inc., 218 W. Court St.
