Maria Di Paolo Maria Di Paolo, 95, of Rome passed away Sunday, January 1, 2012, at Bethany Gardens. She was born in Introdacqua, Acquila, Italy, on October 28, 1916, daughter of the late Francisco and Finizia Volpe Faiella. On January 29, 1933 she married Federico "Fred" Di Paolo in Italy. He passed away March 2, 1983. Maria retired from the Rome City School District as a cafeteria worker at Staley. She was a member of St. John the Baptist Church. Surviving are a son and daughter-in-law, Anthony and Beverly Di Paolo, Rome; a daughter and son-in-law, Theresa and John Krogh, Hermiston, Ore.; seven grandchildren, Fred and his wife Cris Di Paolo, Antonio and his wife Mary Kay Di Paolo, Marianna and Ralph Vacca, and William Di Paolo, all of Rome; Dena and her husband Mark Nymeyer, Blaine, Wash.; John and his wife Jennifer Krogh, Reno, Nev.; Robert and his wife Teri Krogh, Irrigon, Ore.; and numerous great- grandchildren. She was predeceased by a sister Restina Primavera. The family would like to express a special thank you to Bethany Gardens staff of the third floor for their care and love shown to Maria during her time there. Funeral services will be held on Thursday at 10:15 a.m. from the Nicholas J. Bush Funeral Home Inc., 218 W. Court St., and at St. John the Baptist Church at 11:00 a.m. with the Rev. Paul F. Angelicchio officiating. Burial will be in St. John's Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Wednesday from 4-7 p.m.
