I'm Janet Scerra's daughter, Jill (one of Alfred's great nieces). Whenever I smell homemade chicken broth, I think of him because I remember going back into the kitchen at the restaurant one time and he was making chicken broth. I also remember him and my Grandpa (his brother Joe) looking strikingly alike.

I also am Uncle Al's neice, his dear sister Martha's daughter.
I have so many fond memories of my mother's brother, Uncle Al. He was the kindest, most loving man, a true gentleman who loved everyone. He will always live in my fondest memories.

I grew up with Mr. Scerra's nephew, Joe, and remember him well from the Greenbrier Restaurant. He was always very polite and kind to us. My prayers and condolences to the Scerra family.
