Obituary of Theresa C. Trento

Theresa C. Trento Theresa C. Trento, 83, of Rome, passed away Monday, January 10, 2011 at St. Elizabeth's Hospital, Utica. She was born in Montreal, Canada, September 9, 1927, daughter of the late Michael and Marie Anna Guitard DiNardo. On July 7, 1946, she married Frank J. Trento in Santa Maria Church, Bronx, N.Y. He passed away September 22, 1982. Mrs. Trento was a former employee of B.J.'s Wholesale in Utica. She was also a very gifted seamstress who's talent will be greatly missed by those in the Rome-Utica area. Theresa was a member of St. Mary's Church and was an avid bowler. Theresa will be remembered as a kind, nurturing sole. She had many close friends, and was particularly close to her four sisters. Surviving are three sons and daughters-in-law, Thomas and Jacqueline Trento, Concord, N.H., Don and Shelby Trento, Naples, Fla., Frank and Linda Trento, Rome; a brother and sister-in-law, Joseph and Marge DiNardo, Rome; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Ginette and Frank Griffo Jr., Rome, Manon and Wayne Nicol, Barneveld; and several grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by two brothers, Peter DiNardo and Francis DiNardo, and two sisters, Lola Ramsey and Ninette Campanaro. The family cannot express enough gratitude to the staff of Eastern Star Home for the wonderful care given Theresa in her last few difficult years. Special thanks to the staff of St. Elizabeth Medical Center, Third Floor, who truly made Theresa's last days as comfortable and peaceful as possible. Funeral services will be held on Thursday at 10:00 a.m. from the Nicholas J. Bush Funeral Home, Inc., 218 W. Court St., and at St. Mary's Church at 10:30 a.m. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery.
