Rose M. Evola Rose M. Evola, 90, of Rome, passed away Tuesday, November 30, 2010 at Rome Nursing Home. She was born in Herkimer, N.Y. on May 29, 1920, daughter of the late Damiano and Louise Cinquino Giangregoria. Rose attended Herkimer schools. On July 23, 1938, she married Tony Evola in St. Anthony's Church, Herkimer. He passed away August 16, 1984. Mrs. Evola retired from Rome Manufacturing and was a former employee of Williams Knitting Mill and General Electric in Utica. She was a member of St. John the Baptist Church, Ava Dorfman Senior Citizen Center and enjoyed playing Bingo and dancing. Her favorite pastime of all was cooking Italian cuisine for her beloved family. Surviving are a daughter and son-in-law, Mary Lou and Regis Hilow, Rome; a son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Molly Evola, Frankfort, N.Y.; five grandchildren, Michael Evola, Albany, N.Y., Anthony Evola and partner Heather House, Albany, N.Y., Mary Alice and her husband Kyle McGraith, Albany, N.Y., Frank and his wife Jodi Hilow, Tulsa, OK, and Christine and her husband Bryan Dodd, Torrance, CA; great grandchildren, Ashley Evola, Michael Evola and Anthony Evola, Alex McGraith and Madison McGraith,all of Albany, N.Y., Moses Hilow, David Hilow, Chloe Hilow, Caitlyn Hilow, Brynlee Hilow, Tusla, OK, Lila Dodd, Torrance, CA. Also surviving are two sisters, Lucy Conti, Little Falls, N.Y., Jemma Cancellino, Herkimer; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a sister, Bessie Maneen, and two brothers, Vincent and Nicholas Giangregoria. The family would like to thank the staff at Rome Nursing Home for their kindness. Funeral services will be held on Thursday at 9:00 a.m. at St. John the Baptist Church, where friends are invited to attend. Burial will be in St. John's Cemetery. There are no calling hours. Memorial contributions may be made to Jervis Public Library, 613 N. Washington St., Rome, N.Y. 13440. Arrangements are by the Nicholas J. Bush Funeral Home, Inc., 218 W. Court St.
