Obituary of Lucille A. Cassano

Lucille A. Cassano Lucille A. Cassano, 67, of Lakeport, N.Y., passed away Tuesday September 21, 2010, at St. Joseph's Hospital, Syracuse, after a long illness, surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Syracuse, N.Y., daughter of the late Joseph and Elizabeth Winchell DelFuoco. Lucille married her loving and devoted husband of 48 years, John N. Cassano, in Our Lady of Pompei Church, Syracuse, on July 7, 1962. While raising her five sons, she worked as a dental hygienist, then becoming a homemaker to her growing family. Lucille is survived be her husband, John, sons John (Renee), Joseph (Cindy), James (Annette), Jeffery (Palma), and Christopher (Stacie). Also surviving are sisters Susan Benedetti, Mary Jane DelFuoco, Terry (Dave) Brigandi, and two brothers Michael DelFuoco and Al Colella, an aunt and uncle, Joe and Margaret Brigandi. She also leaves behind eight grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held on Saturday at 5:00 p.m. at the Nicholas J. Bush Funeral Home, Inc. 218 W. Court St., Rome. Friends may call at the funeral home on Saturday, from 2 - 5 p.m. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Lupus Foundation of C.N.Y., 3871 Harlem Rd., Buffalo, N.Y. 14215
