Obituary of Reginald C. Auricchio

Reginald C. Auricchio Reginald "Reggie" C. Auricchio, 70, of Rome, passed away Monday, June 21, 2010 in Rome Memorial Hospital. He was born in Rome, N.Y. on December 6, 1939, son of the late Antonio and Ella Bower Auricchio. Reggie graduated from Rome Free Academy and served with the U.S. Army in Germany. He retired from the 485th at Griffiss Air Force Base and was a former employee of Montgomerly Wards. He was a member of St. John the Baptist Church, American Legion, Moose Club and Ava Dorfman Senior Citizens Center. Reggie was an avid card player. Surviving are a son, Reginald C. Auricchio, Jr., Florida; a grandson; and a sister and brother-in-law, Antoinette and James DeProspero, and sister-in-law, Theresa Auricchio, all of Rome; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by two sisters and a brother-in-law, Margaret and Guilio Boffi and Eleanor Auricchio, and two brothers, Raymond and William Auricchio. The family would like to express a special thank you to Stonehedge Nursing Home for their care and compassion. Services will be private. There are no calling hours. Burial will be in St. John's Cemetery. Arrangements are by the Nicholas J. Bush Funeral Home, Inc., 218 W. Court St.
