Patti McCue-Gizzo
Patricia Elizabeth McMue-Gizzo, 58, of Rome, passed away Friday, April 2, 2010, at Faxton-St. Luke's Hospital, New Hartford. She was born in Rome, N.Y., on April 17, 1951, daughter of the late Robert C. and Sally Friedrich McCue. Patti graduated from Rome Free Academy Class of 1969 and continued her education, receiving a Bachelor's degree in accounting. On May 26, 1994 she married Stephan M. Gizzo in Rome. Mrs. Gizzo was a secretary for the Rome City School District for over 25 years.
Patti was a dedicated wife, mother, grandmother and employee.
Surviving besides her husband Stephan are two daughters, Erika J. Eason, Virginia Beach, Va., and Michelle L. Eason, Rome, N.Y., three grandchildren, Alexander Todd, Aneesa Castro, and Ayden Castro. Also surviving are a sister, Joanne McCue-Colbert, Long Beach, Wash., her mother-in-law, Rita M. Gizzo, Rome, and four nephews, Jeremy L. Colbert, James M. Colbert, Eric E. Colbert and Landon C.C.Colbert.
The family would like to express a special thank you to Drs. Taylor , Patel, Morrell, Wassel, Kostranovich, Gullo, plus the staff of 3 East and 3 West of St. Luke's Hospital and the Lutheran Home, and the Bellamy School Sunshine Fund.
Funeral services will be held on Monday at 8:00 p.m. at the Nicholas J. Bush Funeral Home, Inc., 218 W. Court St. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Monday from 2 - 4 and 6 - 8 p.m. In Lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Lupus "SLE" Foundation.
