Muriel A. Tarbania
1950 – 2023
Muriel A. Tarbania, 73, of Rome, passed away on Sunday November 26, 2023, at Wynn Hospital in Utica, N.Y. She was born on August 31, 1950, daughter of the late Anthony and Valerie Venus Tarbania. Muriel graduated from Rome Free Academy, and was employed by the Rome State School as a Therapy Aide. She was an avid Bingo player and loved to spend time with her grandchildren.
Surviving are a son, Mark (Tammy) Varano, a daughter, Tomacina Brown and, grandchildren, Megan Maracchion, Adriana, Mark, and Arya Varano, Tiffany and Mason Brown, great-grandchildren, Gianna and Richard, two brothers, Bruce (Mary Lou) Tarbania, and Glenn (Christine) Tarbania, a niece, Amanda (Brendan) Woodward, and their children, Alexander and Rosina, and a nephew, Adam Tarbania, nephews, Anthony and Gregory, Sr, (Candice) Tarbania, and their child, Gregory, Jr., all of Rome. She was predeceased by her parents, husband, Thomas Varano, former husband, Dennis Maracchion, a son, Dana Maracchion, a sister, Wendy Tarbania, and a son-in-law, Kevin Brown.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday December 03, 2023 at 4:00 p.m. at the Nicholas J. Bush Funeral Home, Inc., 7751 Merrick Rd. Rome. Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. prior to the service. Burial will be in St. John the Baptist Cemetery.
