Joan E. Yale

1933 - 2023

On Sunday, October 29, 2023, with grace and peace, surrounded by her family and those closest to her, Joan E. Yale, 90, slipped quietly and peacefully from this world. She was born in Belleville, Ontario, Canada, on February 14, 1933, daughter of the late George H. and Keitha Rosetta Turner.  Joan attended Eastern School of Commerce, Toronto, Canada.  In 1974 she married George G. Yale, who passed away on February 4, 2001. 

Joan was an interior designer and owner of Yale Associates. For many years throughout Central New York, Joan took great pride and joy assisting her clients to create the perfect home décor. She was a member of the Anglican Church.    

Surviving is a son, Perry and (Nywyn) Wright, British Columbia, Canada, a daughter, Krista Taskey, Manlius, a son, Derek (Linda) Lacey, a daughter, Jennifer Lacey and her spouse, Roy Durling, grandchildren, Laurin Taskey and Dylan Lacey and several nieces and nephews. Joan also leaves her canine companion, Harley.  She was predeceased by her husband, George G. Yale and a brother, Ronald Turner.

Graveside Services will be held on Saturday, November 18, 2023 at 11:00 a.m., at Albany Rural Cemetery, Menands, NY. There are no calling hours.
