Charles D. Heilig
1954 – 2023
Charles D. Heilig, 69, of Rome, passed away on Monday October 09, 2023, at Upstate University Hospital in Syracuse, N.Y. He was born in Rome, N.Y. on February 24, 1954, son of the late John Jr., and Eleanor Owens Heilig. Charles was educated in Rome Schools and graduated from Rome Free Academy.
Charles is survived by a daughter, Carlie Cimpi, and a brother, John Heilig. He was predeceased by his parents and three brothers, Thomas, Frank and Robert Heilig.
A private, Celebration of Life was held on Friday, October 13, 2023 at the Nicholas J. Bush Funeral Home, Inc., 7751 Merrick Rd. Rome, N.Y. There were no calling hours.
