Angeline C. Money
1930 – 2023
Angeline C. “Angie” Money, 93, of Rome, passed away on Sunday, August 13, 2023, at Rome Health Residential Healthcare Facility. She was born in Rome, N.Y. on July 12, 1930, daughter of the late George and Josephine Patane Calandra. Angie graduated from Rome Free Academy, class of 1948. On September 19, 1953, she married Willard “Bud” A. Money, in St John the Baptist Church. He passed away on March 29, 2006. Angie retired from the Rome City School District as a Teacher’s Aide. She was a devout Catholic and a member of St. John the Baptist Church, Marian Guild, Catholic Daughters Group, the Gals Club, and South Rome Senior Center. Angie enjoyed shopping and loved to spend time with her family and grandchildren. She would cook the family dinner every Tuesday night, well into her 80’s.
Surviving is a daughter and son-in-law, Christine and Glenn Tarbania, a son and daughter-in-law, Mark and Deborah Money all of Rome, two grandsons, Anthony Tarbania and his fiancé Lisa Magliocca, and Gregory (Candice) Tarbania, a great-grandson, Gregory Jr., and several nieces and nephews. Angie also leaves behind sisters-in-law, Ramona Karsten and Virginia Storms, and a special sister-in-law and nephew, Gloria and Jake Lewin. She was predeceased by her husband Willard, and a sister Rose Chirillo.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday August 17, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. at St. John the Baptist Church, 210 East Dominick Street, Rome N.Y. with the Rev. Paul F. Angelicchio officiating. The family will receive friends at Church from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. prior to the Mass. Burial will be in St. Peter’s Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Angie’s name to the Marian Guild of St. John the Baptist Church, 210 East Dominick Street in Rome.
