Obituary of Jennifer L. Sovocool

Jennifer L. Sovocool, 49, of Rome, passed away peacefully with her family at her side on Friday March 24, 2023, at Albany Medical Center, Albany, N.Y. She was a 1992 graduate of Rome Catholic High School, where she excelled in academics, and loved to play soccer and track. Jennifer then went on to become a Certified Nurse’s aide, and was last employed at Rome Health Extended Care.

She was a devoted mother and loved spending time with her family and friends. Jennifer also enjoyed doing craft projects and was a huge animal lover.

Jennifer is survived by her mother, Kathleen Locke, father Edward Locke, and a sister Christine Locke, all of Rome. Also surviving are two sons, Mikey Sovocool and Brandon Sovocool, both of Rome, two daughters, Courtney Sovocool of Rome, and Sonya Hesler, of Syracuse, a special aunt, Leigh Kapps, of Vero Beach, Florida, and several cousins.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
