Obituary of Mark P Hluska
Mark P. Hluska, 58, of Clay, NY and formerly of Rome, NY, passed away peacefully at home, on Friday December 16, 2022 with his loving family by his side. Mark was born in Rome, NY on March 25, 1964, the son of Michael A. and the late Vincenza Puma Hluska. He graduated from RFA in 1982 and furthered his educational studies at Mohawk Valley Community College as well as the State University of New York Institute of Technology. Mark was the former Regional District Manager at TAMMAC Holdings Corporation.
Mark was an avid golfer and enjoyed playing in golf tournaments for local charities. He also enjoyed carpentry work and taking on home remodeling projects. Mark’s humility was one of his strong points, always putting others first. He loved his family to be around him, especially during the holidays. Mark was happiest in his kitchen, serving all of his guests with their favorite dishes. He was the best host, with a servant’s heart. Mark will be greatly missed.
Surviving is his father Michael A. Hluska, Jr; a brother Michael A. (Tracey) Hluska III, and his former spouse, Deniece Mercurio Zeller. Also surviving are Mark’s cherished nieces and nephews, and great-nieces and nephews, Bryan Hluska (Tori Babcock) and their children Avery Hluska, Macey Hluska, Blake Hluska, and Julianna Babcock; Kevin (Amber) Hluska, and their children, Braden Hluska, Charlie Hluska, Ryen Hale, and Ryleigh Hale, and Valerie (Connar) DiBerardino, and their children, Caleb Hluska, Colton Hluska, and Dani DiBerardino. Also surviving are several Aunts, Uncles, and cousins. He was predeceased by his mother, Vincenza Puma Hluska. Mark also leaves behind several special friends to include Mark and Shelly Duell, John and Sheryl Puccio.
The family would like to express a special thank you to Julie Rotunda and Deniece Mercurio Zeller for their loving kindness and compassion, as they cared for Mark before his passing, along with Pastor Trent Williams of Grace Baptist Church. The family would also like to extend a thank you to the Nursing Staff at Specialty Care Hospital in Erie, PA, for their relentless efforts to help improve the many debilitating conditions Mark had faced.
